Anthony is the Managing Partner at Pointon Partners and leads the Commercial and Taxation practices of Pointon Partners.

He is a proud and passionate Melbournian and an emeritus member and also a former long term Director and chair of Corporate Governance of Food and Wine Victoria which conducts the Victorian Government designated Melbourne major event the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. He has also been involved as a director in Laworld acting as an Asia Pacific representative.

He is a Committee member of the Tax Institute of Australia.

Anthony is a long time sailor and member of the Sandringham Yacht Club and  enjoys his racing , farming , golf and the mighty Tigers.

  • International and Australian structuring for Hollywood Film production in Australia;
  • Harness Racing Australia successful application to the Trade Practice Commission, in respect of Sky Racing Channel;
  • Establishment of first race-horse ownership clubs; (Winners Circle Club) and associated prospectuses;
  • Acting for many racing industry participants including Harness Racing Australia, breeders, professional wagering participants and corporate bookmakers, TAB, wagering machine manufacturers, gaming testing authorities and casino industry;
  • Business Recovery – Extraction of golf course and property development at Waterford Valley from receivership;
  • Property syndication purchase of St. Kilda road Victorian Police complex;
  • Preparation of all first effected sale off the plan documentation for Melbourne apartments, whereby settlement was longer than 12 months after contract signing at 474 Flinders Street. Industry changing documentation leading to new enacting provisions under the Sale of Land Act (Vic) to encourage Melbourne residential tower developments;
  • Multiple income taxation disputes in audit and Court including Emmakell Pty Ltd v Federal Court of Taxation and Navy Health v Federal Court of Taxation;
  • Multiple Merger and acquisition matters;
  • Gaining public benevolent institution status for Country Fire Authority and other state fire authorities;
  • Establishment work of charitable institutions for Victor Smorgen Charitable Fund and Rockefeller Foundation;
  • Establishment of leading wine industry vineyards for McGuigan Wines, Pyrenees Vineyards including all taxation, Trust and Prospectus works and others;
  • Advising on the Anzac frigates Contracts for engineers Blohm and Voss and advising on Melbourne Park Tennis Center for State Government; and
  • Obtaining Australian Financial Services Licences and compliance program in respect of authorised representatives. Full information memorandum compliance advice in a number of matters including investment fund creation for listed Australian stockbroker Barton Capital (now part of Patersons Securities);
  • Acting for the establishment of ASX listed Vision Eye Institute Ltd ( formerly called Vision Group Ltd ) including initial funding of project via agreement with Health South and later AMP venture capital fund and addition of ophthalmic members.
