His practice spans the full lifecycle of intellectual property, from creation and registration through to commercialisation, enforcement and dispute management.
As a Registered Trade Marks Attorney, Stefano regularly advises clients on Australian and international trade mark strategy, including clearance, prosecution, portfolio management, licensing, assignments and enforcement. He is experienced in managing domestic and global trade mark portfolios and providing commercially‑focused advice on brand protection, infringement risk and contentious and non‑contentious IP matters.
In addition to his IP practice, Stefano advises on a wide range of commercial transactions and agreements, including business acquisitions and disposals, shareholder agreements, distribution and supply arrangements, consulting and service agreements, and intellectual property commercialisation arrangements. He is known for delivering clear, practical advice that aligns legal outcomes with his clients’ commercial objectives.
Stefano has a strong focus on entertainment and media law, advising artists, managers, producers, brands, influencers and industry participants on contract negotiation, rights management and brand protection. His experience includes drafting and negotiating artist management agreements, sponsorship and endorsement arrangements, funding and network agreements, agency and appearance agreements, as well as advising on intellectual property ownership, licensing and exploitation within the entertainment sector.
Before entering legal practice, Stefano completed studies in visual culture, which informs his practical understanding of creative industries and the commercial realities faced by artists and content creators. He also completed the internationally recognised Copyright X program at Harvard University, further enhancing his expertise in copyright law and global IP issues.
