Ben is a Lawyer at Pointon Partners and works within our corporate, employment and general commercial teams. Ben is passionate about utilising the breadth of his exposure to deliver practical solutions whilst developing and maintaining strong client relationships.

Areas of Law & Expertise

Since starting with Pointon Partners in 2016, Ben has advised on a range of matters, including:

  • Advising a listed client on its proposed acquisition of a developing market agri-business in the context of a backdoor listing;
  • Drafting and negotiating loan agreements and security agreements for private lender clients;
  • Establishing complex and tailored shareholders agreements for corporate clients;
  • Advising on the sale and purchase of various small to medium businesses;
  • Advising employers and drafting comprehensive policy suites; and
  • Acting for both employers and employees in unfair dismissal and general protections applications.

Ben has been published in the Privacy Law Bulletin (2017 Vol 14 No 8) – “Cloud based hosting of personal details and the implications for Australian businesses”.

Ben graduated with a double degree from Monash University (Arts/Law) and is a member at Spring Valley Golf Club, a keen surfer and a frequent visitor at Victoria’s best cellar doors.
